W irons for wagons and vans (axle mounting brackets, with compensation) (RCH pattern) | ![]() |
Kit. Etched brass. Parts included: 2 x etched W irons; 1 x pivot anchor; 4 x wheel bearings; 4 x RCH axleboxes/springs; wire. "These etched brass W irons have been designed to allow wagons, vans, etc. to be compensated for smoother running. One unit is fixed firmly to the wagon floor while the other is allowed to tilt slightly from side to side, thereby allovving the wheels to be firmly in contact with the track at all times. They can be used to provide a rigid chassis if desired, and although the benefits of compensation will be lost, the vehicle will still gain from the improved appearance of the fine etching." |
