"The Class 3F 'Jinty' was a real workhorse, used for goods and passenger services between 1924 and 1967. Over 400 of these locomotives were built and most spent their working lives on the LMS/BR(M), although Jinties were also used on the SDR, NCC (Ulster) and by the War Department."

Construction

Craftsman kit parts.
"Etched nickel silver chassis, brake gear, footsteps and coal bunker rails. (Chassis is an easy-build fold-up type which can be built rigid, compensated or sprung.) White metal body parts, designed for glue or solder assembly. Cast sand boxes have integral brass pipes. Pre-cut brass tube for boiler. Pre-formed brass boiler pipework. Turned brass handrail knobs and bearings (Alan Gibson). Handrail wire, screws, etc. Comprehensive instruction booklet."

Not supplied. Motor, wheels, gears, couplings and transfers are required to complete.
