Liveries

LMS livery was black. In 1948 experimental schemes were applied to three locomotives when the green liveries of the former SR, GWR and LNER were each applied to one locomotive. Apart from this trio the locomotives were black in BR operation.

A batch of twenty kits was produced in 2005 and sold out in 2007.

Construction

Brass, nickel-silver and white metal kit. Mashima 10-24 motor, Branchlines 40:1 gearbox, and Sharman custom-made wheels. Parts for both welded and riveted tenders. Smokebox-boiler-firebox unit supplied as a cast item - alternative flat etched parts also supplied. Buffers included. The model can represent Black Five numbers 5225 to 5499.
