Dapol kit (catalogue number C060). Only the footplate, bonnet end, sides, roof and cab rear are used.
Cab and body
Leading dimensions reduced by 12% by cutting and shutting. New cab front, sides and roof from 40thou styrene. Glazing is Kristal Kleer liquid. Side skirts added in styrene.
Detailing
Door handles (on bonnet sides) and handrails added using Gibson 0.33mm brass wire. Gibson small handrail knobs. Radiator grille and cow-catchers from spares box.
Paintwork
Brush-painted black with red buffer beams. Numbered with 1:76 scale transfers by Woodhead. Model sprayed matt.
Motor unit
Tenshodo 31.5mm wheelbase GT-1 SPUD (4-wheel).
